Our vision is that our smoke-free products will one day replace cigarettes.

  • Without question, the best decision any smoker can make is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
  • PMI’s smoke-free products are for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke or use other nicotine products.
  • We do not offer PMI’s smoke-free products to people who have never used tobacco or nicotine products or who have quit using tobacco and nicotine products.
  • Our smoke-free products are not an alternative to quitting and are not designed as cessation aids.
  • Minors should not use tobacco or nicotine in any form.

Safety Warnings & Instructions

 

  • HEETS tobacco sticks contain nicotine, which is addictive.
  • IQOS and HEETS tobacco sticks are not risk-free.
  • The best way to reduce tobacco-related health risks is to quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
  • Some users of IQOS and HEETS tobacco sticks reported experiencing abdominal pain, chest pain, choking sensation, cough, difficulty breathing, dizziness, dry mouth, dry throat, gingivitis, headache, malaise, nasal stuffiness, nausea, mouth irritation, palpitations, throat irritation, and vomiting.
  • Nicotine-containing products should not be used by people who have or are at risk of heart disease, are diabetic, are epileptic, or are experiencing seizures.
  • Nicotine-containing products should not be used during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.
  • If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or think you may be pregnant, you should quit tobacco and nicotine use altogether.
  • Stopping smoking or switching to IQOS and HEETS tobacco sticks or other nicotine-containing products may require the adjustment of the dosing of certain medicines (e.g. theophylline, clozapine, ropinirole).
  • If you have questions about whether you should use IQOS and HEETS tobacco sticks given an existing health condition, consult a health care professional.

Exclusive Use of HEETS tobacco sticks

  • Only purchase IQOS and HEETS tobacco sticks from your local or online IQOS stores or other authorized retailers.
  • Only use IQOS with HEETS tobacco sticks. Never use IQOS with a cigarette or similar products that are not approved for usage with IQOS. Doing so may result in injury.
  • Do not modify HEETS tobacco sticks in any way or add any substance to HEETS tobacco sticks. Doing so may result in injury.

IQOS leaves significantly less stains on your teeth* than cigarettes. Important information: If teeth are already stained, switching to IQOS will not reverse the colour of those stains.

Information Related to Refurbished Devices (IQOS REFRESHED) 

 

Seller’s warranty

Subject to applicable law, the duration of the warranty for refurbished IQOS™ devices is of 1 year from the date of purchase.

If the refurbished IQOS™ holder and/or charger are defective at the time of delivery and are subject to a valid warranty claim, Philip Morris Switzerland Sàrl will either repair or replace the defective product. If repair is not possible, replacement will be provided with a refurbished product or respective component of equivalent functionality.

Manufacturer’s limited voluntary warranty

Duration

The duration of the manufacturer’s limited voluntary warranty in Switzerland is of 1 year from the date of purchase.

What this warranty covers

Philip Morris Switzerland Sàrl will, at its option (but without affecting your statutory rights), repair or replace the refurbished (used, cleaned and disinfected) IQOS™ holder and/or charger which are defective in terms of material or workmanship when used in accordance with the associated IQOS™ User Guide and which are subject to a valid limited voluntary warranty claim. If repair is not possible, replacement will be provided with a refurbished product or respective component of equivalent functionality.

To the extent permitted by local law, the replacement color and/or model are subject to such color and/or model availability. The provisions of this warranty are only valid in the country of purchase.

What is excluded from this warranty?

The following are excluded from the terms of this warranty:

a) damage caused by normal wear and tear;

b) cosmetic damage (such as scratches, dents, broken plastic etc.);

c) damage caused by misuse, power surge, improper handling, liquid contact or fire;

d) malfunction due to use with non-compatible product;

e) damage or malfunction caused by attempt to open, modify and repair, either by a user or by a service provider not accredited by the manufacturer;

f) damage or malfunction caused by failure to use as described in the associated IQOSTM User Guide;

g) product battery performance degradation. Batteries are consumable parts and their performance degradation and use over time is not a manufacturing or workmanship defect and is excluded from this warranty.

Other terms

Where an exchange takes place, then any replacement part becomes your property and the replaced part becomes the property of the entity which makes the exchange. The information provided by you will be used as described in consumer privacy notice at www.pmiprivacy.com. In case of replacement, the replaced product or component shall be warranted for the balance of the 12 months period remaining on the original product.

Additional legal rights for consumers

The rights conveyed under this voluntary warranty are in addition and without prejudice to all rights and remedies provided by consumer protection laws in the country of purchase.
