IQOS in the water: here’s what to do
Choosing IQOS means that you always have comprehensive support at your disposal. If your IQOS device gets wet or falls into the water, follow the steps below.
Why IQOS shouldn’t get wet
Tobacco heaters are electronic devices, and for this reason it is important not to allow electronic parts to come into contact with water or other liquids or be exposed to heat or direct sunlight. If your device falls into the water or gets wet, you can follow these simple steps.
First, if the device gets wet, do not attempt to turn it on. Let it dry away from heat sources and direct sunlight. To avoid damaging it further, do not insert foreign objects such as cloths or tissues into the device.
Once you’ve made sure your device has dried completely, try turning it on to see if it’s working.
In general, IQOS devices are not designed to get wet or be submerged in any liquid. Therefore, in the event that the device no longer turns on or does not function properly following contact with water, the warranty would not cover this type of damage. However, if you have registered your IQOS ILUMA i PRIME on the IQOS website, you may be eligible for a free device replacement and an extended warranty that covers your device against accidental damage. Cleaning IQOS with water: can it be done?
You may be wondering if it is possible to clean your IQOS device with water. As they are electronic devices, it is not recommended to do so.
In general, any damage that may arise from using water to clean your device will not be covered by the warranty. However, if you have registered your IQOS ILUMA i PRIME on the IQOS website, you may be eligible for a free device replacement and an extended warranty that covers your device against accidental damage. However, it is possible to clean some accessories with water.
All models of silicone covers can also be washed with running water. The other covers, which are available for all IQOS or IQOS ILUMA models, can be cleaned with a wet cloth. However, always remember to place clean accessories on your IQOS device only once they are completely dry.
